Lakes & Rivers Talk: Using Barley Straw to Nip Harmful Cyanobacteria Blooms in the Bud! A local pilot project

Join Dr. Allison Ryan at the Granby Free Public Library for a talk about Harmful Cyanobacteria Blooms that are dramatically increasing globally and locally in the context of climate change and excess nutrients in both marine and fresh water bodies. Learn about a local project aimed at preventing these harmful blooms in selected Connecticut River watershed ponds using barley straw.
